Road Notes
A Project on Nostalgia & Personal Archives
Freelance Personal School
Growing up in Saskatchewan, my family and I spent a lot of time driving. My favourite memories are those hours on the road filled with coffees, snacks, the radio, conversations, and gazing at the horizon. The experience of being between two places, essentially in the middle of nowhere, brings a unique sense of stillness and mindfulness.
Inspired by Giorgia Lupi’s project “Dear Data,” I created a journal specifically for road trips. The kit includes a canvas case, a wooden laser-engraved cover, journal pages, stickers that fit within a grid structure, a ruler, and a small book of prompts.
